1. Raw Bar

Firestone’s has been a familiar name in Frederick for years with its popular restaurant and market. This year the business expanded to include Raw Bar, an intimate and newly renovated space offering oysters, charcuterie, and a full bar.

Must try: Oysters on the half shell of course!

2. Hooch and Banter

The moment you walk into this chic dining room, you know you’ve found a sophisticated place. Serving modern American cuisine with a French influence, the service here strives to be warm and attentive. The menu changes often, with fresh seasonal selections offered every day.

Must try: The Banter – House cured fork tender Waygu corned beef, gruyere, black Russian bread, house country mustard, roasted corn salad, served with three potato salad

What started in Carolina Beach, NC has come to Downtown Frederick! Lined with TVs playing whichever game you are hoping to watch, this oyster bar offers more than just oysters. Pop in for a basket of fish and chips or bring some friends and split a steampot.

7.   McClintock

Housed in a building that survived the epic flood of the 70’s, McClintock uses organic grains to produce spirits that are milled in-house. Check out this incredible building with a tour and taste their sustainably produced gin and whiskey.

Must try: Forager Gin - A vapor infused new-world style gin using botanicals inspired by native herbs found in the Appalacian Wilderness

Confession: Reina is not actually a new restaurant. However, they do have a totally new menu which makes them worthy of this list. The new menu features contemporary American cuisine and the ambiance is just as lovely as ever.

Must try: Crabenedict (brunch only) – Toasted English muffin served with crab cakes, two poached eggs, and stone ground mustard hollandaise sauce served with country fried potatoes

9.   Silver Diner
