Mission of Frederick County's U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission
On July 4, 2026, the United States will celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation.
This momentous occasion will be commemorated with a variety of events and activities that reflect the diversity and strength of our nation and the role that Frederick County has played throughout the country's history. The U.S. Semiquincentennial commission will engage Frederick County citizens, museums, historic sites, businesses, educational institutions, and various organizations in planning and promoting events that celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation.
