President Lincoln speaks in Downtown Frederick
On October 4, 1862, President Abraham Lincoln visited Frederick, Maryland after making a trip to the Antietam battlefield to meet with General George McClellan. During his time in Frederick, he visited a wounded US Army general and addressed local residents from the back of his train here at the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad station on All Saints Street in Downtown Frederick.
