In celebration of Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month, the Asian American Center of Frederick (AACF) invites the community for the 2017 Asian Heritage Month Festival at Baker Park on Saturday, May 6 from 11am-4pm. A popular cultural tradition in Frederick that includes an exciting array of performances, foods, and fun activities for the whole family!
Nearly 20 local area culture centers and organizations volunteer their time to offer cultural entertainment and hands-on activities for the community. Event features a variety of Asian cultural performances including Indian and Chinese dancers, a martial arts demonstration and Korean drums, among many others. There will be crafts, children’s activities, exhibitors from local organizations and businesses, and food vendors. The event is free and open to the public. Each year, they draw nearly 1,000 attendees to enjoy cultural performances and fun activities – all for FREE!
