Calvary United Methodist Church, located in historic downtown Frederick, presents Beau Soir Ensemble, a flute, viola, and harp trio dedicated to the performance of classical and contemporary music as part of its 2021-2022 Community Concert Series. The trio, Michelle Lundy (harp), Carole Bean (flute), and Ruth Wicker (viola) will perform two world premiers as part of their program at this concert. Couperin on the Road, by Graham Lynch, was composed especially for the trio, and Japanese Gardens, by Adrienne Albert, originally for piano, was transcribed specifically for them as well.
Beau Soir has performed at venues and acclaimed concert series in the Mid-Atlantic region, including the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Strathmore Mansion, Alden Theatre, and many more. The trio also won the 2014 Montpelier Arts Recital Competition. The event is free and open to the public.
Please note: we ask that all concert attendees follow CDC guidelines for masking and social distancing that are in place at the time of the performance. If you are not fully vaccinated, please wear a mask to this event.
