Alfred Hitchcock’s third feature film marked the start of his distinct thriller style. Featuring live accompaniment on the mighty Wurlitzer organ!

A serial killer known only as “The Avenger” is on the loose in London, murdering unsuspecting blonde women. A mysterious man arrives at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Bunting inquiring after a room to rent. The Buntings’ daughter is a blonde model and is dating one of the detectives assigned to the case, when the detective becomes jealous of the lodger and begins to suspect he may be The Avenger.
