Keep us in the loop by communicating your news and updates so we can share them with our audience!
Visit Frederick’s website is a tool used to inspire visitors and locals alike. Web traffic is generated through a strategic mix of Google Adwords, SEO optimization, blog content, eNewsletters and social media, resulting in more than 1.5 million pages viewed last year. With content updated weekly, web visitors frequently check the site to discover what’s new. We recommend that you regularly view your presence on the site by typing your business name into the search bar. Access the Extranet to keep your website and visitor guide listings up-to-date, refresh amenities offered, and upload images. If you have questions about navigating the Extranet or need a password reset please contact Tessa Joseph, Sales and Marketing Coordinator. Please consider contacting Visit Maryland to add your business listing to their site.
Travel writers and other outlets often request images from Visit Frederick that showcase the beautiful county. Please consider sharing high resolution images of your business so that we can share them with blog and magazine writers, as well as using them in our own website, brochures, and visitor guide. We have contracted with Barberstock, a digital asset management company, to help organize images from our member partners. Go to Barberstock and click “Register” to register as a contributor to our Barberstock platform. Complete the form, and, in the “How will you be using these digital assets?” space, please write in “contributor.” Once your request has been approved you will be able to contribute images, and assign them searchable keywords and categories. Barberstock has created a 7-minute instructional video to help with the process of uploading. This tutorial can be helpful to watch after you have been approved as a contributor and just prior to uploading your images.
