Parking Garages in Downtown Frederick
Downtown Frederick offers five parking garages, all open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

East All Saints Street Garage (125 East All Saints Street)
Ideal for visiting the Frederick Visitor Center (where visitors from outside Frederick County can get three hours validated), the Carroll Creek Brewing District, and McCutcheon’s Factory Store. -
Carroll Creek Garage (44 East Patrick Street)
Perfect if you’re headed to Carroll Creek Park, the C. Burr Artz Public Library, or the National Museum of Civil War Medicine. -
Church Street Garage (17 East Church Street)
Right at the heart of Downtown Frederick. Look for the colorful mural of Maryland’s state dinosaur, Astrodon johnstoni, by local artist Goodloe Byron. Park on the top deck for an up-close view of Frederick’s iconic Clustered Spires. -
Court Street Garage (2 South Court Street)
Convenient to the Weinberg Center for the Arts and the shopping and dining in Downtown Frederick. -
West Patrick Street Garage (138 West Patrick Street)
Just a short walk to Baker Park and the Weinberg Center.

On-street meters offer quick, convenient parking close to shops and restaurants.
Parking Meter Rates
Parking along the following streets is $2/hour:
- First block & 100 block of East & West Patrick Street
- First block of North & South Market Street
- 100 & 200 block of North Market Street
- First block of East & West Church Street
All other downtown meters are $1/hour.

Handicap Accessible Parking
Under Maryland Motor Vehicle Law §13-616, vehicles displaying a valid handicap (H/C) plate or hangtag may park at a regular metered space for up to twice the posted time limit at no charge. Example: a two-hour meter allows four hours free with a valid H/C tag or hangtag.
Red loading-zone meters are reserved for commercial loading and unloading from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM. After 10:00 AM, they convert to regular meters - drivers with a valid H/C tag or hangtag may park there for twice the meter’s time limit at no charge.
No handicap parking is permitted in long-term loading-zone spaces.
All City of Frederick parking garages are handicap accessible and include H/C spaces on every level. Prevailing garage rates apply to all patrons, including vehicles with H/C tags or placards. Learn more.
Holiday and Weekend Free Parking
Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, all garages and meters are FREE every weekend (Saturday 8AM until Monday 6AM).

Free Parking Options
Looking to save? There are free parking spots just outside the busiest areas of Downtown Frederick:

Baker Park: Free spaces along Carroll Parkway and College Avenue. Just a 5-10 minute walk to Market Street.

Everedy Square & Shab Row: Two free lots (2-hour limit) for patrons of the shops and restaurants. Perfect for visiting spots like Frederick Coffee Company and other shops in Shab Row and Everedy Square.

Frederick Visitor Center (weekends only): Utilize the parking lot adjacent to the Frederick Visitor Center for free parking. This is only open on weekends. During the week, visitors can utilize six designated visitor spaces for up to 45 minutes while experiencing the Visitor Center.
