Visit Frederick is here to serve the tourism business and non-profit community in Frederick County, MD. As the County’s dedicated Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), we are a member-supported non-profit dedicated to enhancing the visitor experience in the region. 

We provide a variety of marketing opportunities for businesses and non-profits across Frederick County - below you’ll find resources and information you can utilize to extend your reach and improve your visitor experience. 


The Frederick Visitor Center will display your rack card and event posters on a space available basis.  Please provide a stack of rack cards, size 4” x 9” to the Frederick Visitor Center and a Visitor Center Specialist will call you when the supply is running low.  Also, be sure to drop off event posters for our Current Event Wall. The Frederick Visitor Center is located at 151 S. East St., open daily 9AM-5PM. 


Visit Frederick’s publications are the official marketing resources for visitors to Frederick County, Maryland.  Targeted exposure in the Official Visitor Guide and the Calendar of Events helps to put businesses directly in front of customers.  Both pieces are distributed to Maryland Visitor Centers, hotels and local businesses, and thousands of prospective visitors through fulfillments from advertising leads. Group friendly businesses have access to hundreds of leads generated from trade shows attended by Visit Frederick staff members each year. When tour operators, meeting professionals and wedding planners are looking for recommendations, they turn to Visit Frederick.  These inquiries, as well as referrals from motorcoach trade shows, are shared with members, generating a potential pipeline for your business.  The contact information of motorcoach tour operators interested in hearing from you can be accessed through the Partner Portal Extranet.


One of the most popular pages on the Visit Frederick website is the events calendar.  Submit events for approval, which will help boost attendance, sales, and organic search. Also very popular is the Special Offers page, which features any “deals” offered within a specified time period. Remember that offers do not have to be a discount; you can create offers that are special experiences, exclusive perks, or a value-added benefit.  Allow us to promote your events and limited time offers by submitting the details in the Extranet.  Please consider adding your event to the Visit Maryland website, visit here for detailed instructions. 


Help spread the word about your attraction or event by offering a ticket giveaway through our social media channels. Combined, these channels reach thousands of potential customers.
