A Downtown Frederick original, Gravel & Grind is a bike shop and cafe. This unique coffee shop in Frederick’s historic district is the perfect spot to grab a delicious latte or cappuccino after a morning bike ride or stroll through the city. G&G is known for serving ethically-sourced coffee, delicious toast served on local sourdough bread with seasonal toppings, and waffles on weekend mornings.

 

 

The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, with plenty of natural light coming through large windows in a building constructed as a car dealership way back in 1948. In addition to your caffeine fix, you can also purchase bicycles and G&G offers a variety of bike repair services.

Dublin Roasters

This specialty coffee roastery located on North Market Street in the City of Frederick prides itself on sourcing the highest quality beans from around the world. Each year, owner Serina Roy sources raw coffee beans from regions across the globe. They roast their coffee on-site in small batches to ensure maximum freshness and flavor, resulting in some of the best coffee in the region.

Their menu includes a variety of single-origin and blended coffees, as well as espresso drinks and loose-leaf teas. The modern, industrial decor and friendly staff make Dublin Roasters a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee.

 


 

Beans in the Belfry

Once you make a visit to Beans in the Belfry, you’ll be sure to return to this unique coffee shop located in an old church in Brunswick. The atmosphere is unlike any other coffee shop in the region, with soaring ceilings, original stained glass windows, and cozy seating nooks throughout the space. The historic building itself dates back to 1910.

Beans in the Belfry offers a wide selection of coffee drinks, as well as a variety of teas, smoothies, and baked goods. Beans in the Belfry also hosts live music and other events, making it a great spot for a fun evening out with friends. Frederick Coffee Company

Opened in Downtown Frederick in 1991, Frederick Coffee Company has been serving coffee in the “City of Clustered Spires” for more than 30 years.

5 West Cafe 

This charming coffee shop is located in a historic building in the heart of New Market. 5 West Cafe is located on Main Street in a 19th century building that once housed a hotel, tavern, post office, and library. The building demonstrates the history of New Market as a “pike town” on the Historic National Road.
