A 45-foot-by-10-foot mosaic, featuring the Potomac River and Dr. Arlington Horine, a former Brunswick mayor and original building owner and operator of Horine’s Drug Store and Soda Fountain Shop.
The mural was made out of thousands of hammer-cracked floor tiles meant to show the Potomac River as a flowing and swirling image of energy. Standing in a wide-open window was an image of Dr. Arlington Horine himself. In the mural, he is depicted in black and white with his arms wide open.
The mural was a collaboration between Brunswick Main Street and the City of Brunswick. It celebrates Brunswick’s 125th year of incorporation and the importance of the Potomac River.
