South Mountain Creamery is Maryland's first on-the-farm dairy processing plant that home delivers farm fresh and all-natural products. Watch the cows being milked from 1:30-5:00pm, bottle feed the calves at 4:00pm, play on the play-set or rock pile, and get a scoop of super-premium ice cream from the farm store. Allow 1.5 hours.

Distillery Lane Ciderworks
The first licensed cidery in Maryland is located on 95 acres in Jefferson, just outside of the historic town of Burkittsville. The farm is protected by both historic and environmental conservation easements due to its history, dating back to the Civil War. Allow 1.5 hours.
Fox Haven Learning Center - Edible Herb Walking Tour
Wild herbs as food: Join a clinical herbalist and licensed nutritionist and learn about the pantry available right under your feet! Walk the land, learn how to identify, harvest, and use edible wild weeds in nourishing food dishes. Explore uses of dandelion, milk thistle, nettles, plantain, burdock, etc. Allow 2 hours.
